The “Kami-waza” of Uonuma

Shinobu Habuki’s company works in snow clearing work in the winter.

His company repairs mountain footsteps and huts in the summer using helicopters in Uonuma’s major mountains.

Since the work of snow clearance is so so so skilled, he has sent YukiGuni Times some pictures of snow shooting/clearing.

The winter life in Uonuma is secured by these people’s good job.

The snow clearing team is sometimes called to help out other areas in Kanto when they have unexpected snowfalls and struggle to clear the snow.

These Uonuma people’s snow clearing skills are called “Kami-waza” meaning God’s work.
